About Us

OUR SERVICES

X-Rays

Dental radiographs (x-rays) are essential, preventive, diagnostic tools that provide valuable information not visible during a regular dental exam.  Dentists and dental hygienists use this information to safely and accurately detect hidden dental abnormalities and complete an accurate treatment plan.  Without x-rays, problem areas may go undetected.

In our office we use digital radiography which allows us to take X-rays using 50-70% less radiation versus conventional X-rays. Coupled with computer monitoring, digital x-ray technology allows us to enhance the images for better diagnosis of any dental concerns.

In our office, we are proud to offer 3D imaging. 3D X-rays are a compact, safer, faster version of a regular CAT scan or CT. In 3D dental x-rays, a cone shaped x-ray beam used in rotation, produces cross sectional images of bone and some soft tissues in varying degrees of detail depending on pre-determined level of resolution. Though there are many other imaging techniques, some more detailed, 3D imaging has the unique ability to offer clear images with limited patient exposure to radiation and provides only the necessary detail needed to make a proper diagnosis. This technology offers a unique Planmeca Ultra Low Dose™ imaging protocol, enabling imaging with an even lower effective patient dose than the traditional Panorex imaging.

Dental Fillings

A composite (tooth colored) filling is used to repair a tooth that is affected by decay, cracks, fractures, etc. The decayed or affected portion of the tooth will be removed and then filled with a composite filling.

There are many types of filling materials available, each with their own advantages and disadvantages. You and Dr. Klopenstine can discuss the best options for restoring your teeth. Composite fillings, along with silver amalgam fillings, are the most widely used today. Because composite fillings are tooth colored, they can be closely matched to the color of existing teeth, and are more aesthetically suited for use in front teeth or the more visible area of the teeth.

As with most dental restorations, composite fillings are not permanent and may someday have to be replaced. They are very durable, and will last many years, giving you a longlasting, beautiful smile.

Implants

Today, once you lose teeth you have more options than ever before: you can replace them with bridges, dentures or implants. Replacement is critical, because once a tooth is lost your remaining teeth move to fill the void and the chances that your jawbone will recede increase exponentially

Dental implants allow patients to regain fully functional and natural appearing smiles. Tooth loss is caused by tooth decay, gum disease, or trauma. Dental implants are an alternative to ordinary dental bridges or dentures to fill in the gaps caused by missing teeth.

Dental implants are innovative. Implant dentistry focuses on creating smiles that have the natural stability of real teeth. Tooth implant smiles look and feel authentic, and they maintain biological stimulation to prevent bone loss and that “sunken-in” appearance.

A tooth implant is a durable titanium cylinder that is surgically placed into the upper or lower jawbone. After placement, the implant will fuse with the jawbone until it is fully integrated and becomes part of your body. Dental implants can be restored with dental crowns, dentures, or dental bridges.

Dental implants work just like real teeth with real roots! They stimulate the jawbone to prevent it from weakening and collapsing. Each tooth implant can sustain all of the bite force and ability of a natural tooth.

If you want to replace one or more missing teeth, ask us about implant dentistry. Dental implants are reliable enough to support bridges, dentures, or crowns.

Most healthy patients are candidates for dental implants. Dr. Klopenstine can tell you more after a screening and evaluation process.

Invisalign®

Crooked teeth or a bad bite can affect your confidence and well being. Would you like for braces to be a comfortable experience without having to deal with wires, brackets or metal? Invisalign clear trays completely transform the standard braces experience. Invisalign clear aligners are comfortable, convenient, and fast-acting. They fit precisely over your teeth and shift your teeth gradually into their ideal position, creating a beautiful smile. Every few weeks, you will advance to your next set of aligners.

You wear them all day, removing them to eat and to brush and floss your teeth. They are smooth as not to irritate your gums or lips. You wear each set for two weeks and visit our office every four to six for periodic checkups.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening has become the number one aesthetic concern of most patients. When you have a set of stunning pearly whites, your quality of life and self-esteem will soar.

There are a number of ways to whiten teeth. The most popular method is using a home tooth whitening system that will whiten teeth dramatically. Since tooth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed every several years, and more often if you smoke, drink coffee, tea or wine.
